SOME TAP EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED
This class invites anyone with a bit of tap experience to revisit and develop skills. It welcomes advanced beginners to make the leap to intermediate steps and sounds and intermediate tappers to enjoy a slower break down of familiar steps and the accompanying opportunity to further develop their technique. We will learn and practice tap fundamentals such as flaps and shuffles, stamps and stomps, "Irishes" and shuffles off to Buffalo! Each week, we'll kick things off with a warm up (that is the standard start to all Minsky tap classes at Chifferobe), practice movements across the floor and in center and conclude with a fun dance that combines our fundamentals in rhythmic play.

No dance experience necessary.... If you've been on a long dance break, come and shimmy those cobwebs off. BD 101plus offers students individual attention while introducing them to basic footwork, isolations, shimmies, and dance props, such as veil. For those students with more dance experience, optional layers will be added to introduce a little challenge. You will hear different types of Middle Eastern music and learn about its varying rhythms, instruments and expression. Each class includes a warm-up, drills (great for core and improved muscle sense), basic dance steps, and fun dance section where we practice combinations and a wind down period. Throughout it all you will work on full body strengthening, grace, musicality and not taking yourself too seriously. Please wear comfortable workout attire.

This basics class will take you from the very beginning... We will learn and practice tap fundamentals. Learn flaps and shuffles, stamps and stomps, and more! Each week, we will add on to a warmup, practice our moves and enjoy a dance that combines our fundamentals in rhythmic play.

Burlesquercize is a one hour class using Burlesque style dance to get your body moving and shake away the mid-week blues!
Come join us if you want to: Learn basic burlesque dance techniques. Add a unique way of contributing to your weekly exercise goals. Have a good time! Wear clothes you would work out or dance and light sneakers or jazz flats. Bring water and your bad-ass self.

This one-hour tap class is intended for tappers with some experience. Brush up on your basics with a simple warm-up that builds upon itself from flaps to pickups. Then take traveling steps across the floor before finishing with a few short combinations - toe twisters, if you will! Comfortable clothes and tap shoes recommended. Don't have taps but want to try? Wear shoes that don't have a rubberized/treaded sole and you'll be fine. Or we are always happy to point you in the direction of an affordable pair of shoes!

Start your Sunday in our sun-drenched space with a fantastic stretch and beautiful practice. This special session will help improve balance, flexibility, and is sure to leave your body smiling. $liding scale of $5+. Pay at the door.
